We had over 250 people attend the summit form our four county region of Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe County. Numerous elected officials were also in attendance. Your band members were all talented and personable individuals, contributing to the success of this event.

There was plenty of going’s on in the streets of Islamorada last Weekend. Chili Cooks from all over the world attended the second annual Chili Cook- off to benefit the Moose Lodge in Islamorada.

The festivities started on February 11th Friday evening as the sponsors and Vip’s got treated to a Raven-Cajun Shrimp dinner by the famous Moose Lodge chiefs. This group was serenaded by band leader George Pollis of the Key West Steel Drum band and the Reel Ting Band to special version of “Brown Eye Girl “or “Chili Eye Girl”.

The professional chili cooks competed for fame and glory on Saturday and Sunday, February 12,th and Feb. 13, mile marker 81.5 ocean side in the arts district. This event was sponsored by the Moose Lodge for the second year in a row.

The Old Highway was closed off from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. to host the event, which drew hundreds of tasters to the amateur booths and professional booths. The Chili Chicks were “Stirring Things Up” on the Dance Floor as they preformed there Famous “Chili Chicks Country Line Dances”. Reel Ting Band got things moving and grooving as special recording artist Lenny Llyod preformed his most recent Hit “Moheatas and Margaritas” Special Guest Star “Bob Bunz” flashed his Motown sounds of the late great James Brown that everyone got ever one grooving.

The cook-off featured seven tastes for $5 from among the various booths. White bean chili, hot and spicy, wild boar chili, alligator, and venison chili were among the concoctions available. The after party was a smash hit Sunday Evening as the “Chili Girls Went Wild” inside the Islamorada Moose Lodge.

On February 13th 2010 from 1:00PM to 3:00 PM the Reel Ting was posted as the main event ar Artigras located in Abacoa Town Center Jupiter Florida.

The band started with Bob Marley‘s famous song “Stir It Up” and that song was followed by “Three Little Birds” which captured the hearts and souls of the attendees.

Jeff Anton from Jensen Beach Florida stated, ”I love this type of music and The Reel Ting is as good as it gets!”

Dennis O’Hara from Bagel Boyz in Jupiter said, “I love the steel drums. The Reel Ting Band are fantastic musicians.”

The highlights of the Artigras were viewed on the local news channels by ABC and NBC and CBS local affiliates. All stations featured The Reel Ting performing on stage as part of their broadcasts.
